Keynote Lecture

Amy Diehl, PhD will speak on "Glass Walls: Shattering Gender Barriers in Science and Healthcare"

Despite large gains in education and credentialing over the past decades, women's advancement in STEM and healthcare professions lags disproportionately behind men. While blatant sexism still exists, most of the gaps in leadership and salary arise from biases based on ingrained gender roles and  expectations. In this talk, Dr. Amy Diehl will reveal the six core dimensions of workplace gender bias that she and her team uncovered through a combination of factor analysis and qualitative research. Using this gender barrier framework, Dr. Diehl will then share key, evidence-based strategies for shattering them -- in ways that benefit individuals and organizations alike.
