Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine Reunion Celebration

We are thrilled to welcome back all Scholl College alumni with special recognition for reunion classes ending in 4 and 9. We invite you to join your classmates, Scholl College Dean Stephanie Wu, faculty and our amazing students for an on-campus experience and a Scholl College Alumni Signature Event that includes an alumni reception and buffet and the Alumni Awards Presentation.

We will also be congratulating Dan Evans, DPM '82 who is retiring after 38 years of dedication and service to Scholl College. Dr. Evans will be joining us at the Dean's Luncheon and Scholl College Alumni Signature Event. Arrival Thursday evening is encouraged.

  • 8:00 am – 9:15 am Alumni Welcome Breakfast , The Westin O'Hare Hotel, 6100 N. River Rd. Rosemont, IL 60018. Enjoy a full breakfast before boarding the shuttle. Transportation provided to/from The Westin O'Hare Hotel & campus. 
  • 10:30 am – 3:30 pm Campus Experience Highlights
    • Don’t miss an exciting opportunity to learn about growing your podiatry practice from Scholl College alumnus, Jim McDannald, DPM ’03, founder of Podiatry Growth. Dr. McDannald started Podiatry Growth to help podiatrists identify how patients search and interact with technology and implement online opportunities that benefit and connect both their patients and their practice.
    • Experience Scholl College’s Orthotic and Pedorthic Labs and the Center for Lower Extremity Ambulatory Research (CLEAR).
      CLEAR was founded in 2004, and since then, has rapidly become one of the most internationally and scientifically recognized units of its kind in the world. Primary areas of interest include diabetic complications of the lower extremity, biomechanics, motor learning & control, wound healing, and surgery. Faculty are world renowned for their work in treating and preventing lower extremity complications associated with diabetes.
    • Join us for an exclusive Scholl College simulation interactive experience. You'll engage with our cutting-edge simulation technology and learn about the latest training methods for medical students at our Center for Advanced Simulation in Healthcare at our North Chicago campus. You will hear about our plan and vision for the recent award of $8.1 million by the Illinois Board of Higher Education to build a virtual health system and expand simulation. The planned 20,000-square-foot simulation center and virtual health system will integrate novel training methods, emerging health technologies and artificial intelligence to advance patient safety and prepare an interprofessional healthcare workforce for a rapidly changing and increasingly complex healthcare landscape.
    • Anatomy Lab
      You will see The John J. Sheinin, MD, PhD, DSc, Gross Anatomy Laboratory, the location for all cadaver-based education for students. The anatomy lab supports the teaching mission of the university both through its use as a large active learning space and also through providing resources and administrative support to any area of the university that requires content related to anatomy.
    • Dean's Luncheon with Scholl College Students, Fellow Alumni and Faculty. Learn about current Scholl College initiatives and how alumni support student success, and have made a difference in the lives of students by sharing their time, expertise and experiences.
  • 6:30 pm Scholl College Alumni Signature Event at Carlucci in Rosemont. Enjoy a cocktail reception and sumptuous dinner buffet. We’ll recognize classes ending in 4 and 9 and welcome all returning alumni as we honor our 2024 Award recipients for distinguished career and early career achievement. The festivities will continue with dessert and more good cheer as we congratulate and thank Dan Evans, DPM ’82 who is retiring after 38 years of dedication and service to Scholl College.
