Steven P Weiand, PhD
Dr. Weiand is the Associate Dean for Student Affairs for CHP, Assistant Professor and Chair of the Pre-professional Health Sciences Department and Program Director for the Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences (BMS) program. He completed his PhD in 2016 from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee with a degree in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service in Higher Education. His dissertation investigated academic whistleblowing in graduate health profession education. He also has his MS in Education from Indiana University and a BA in English from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee.
Dr. Weiand has a secondary faculty appointment in the Physical Therapy Department. He also has teaching responsibilities in the Department of Interprofessional Healthcare Studies and the Department of Health Services Administration. He has over 15 years of experience in higher education and student affairs administration. Prior to his current appointment in the College of Health Professions, Dr. Weiand was the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. He is driven by student success and honored to be a part of the journey of the students at RFU.
