Sandra Ndiaye, DO, IBCLC
Sandra Ndiaye, DO, IBCLC, joins Chicago Medical School/Rosalind Franklin University after working with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital as a Pediatric Hospitalist in the division of hospital based medicine outreach since 2015. Her primary site of practice is Silver Cross Hospital, with moonlighting at NM Central Dupage Hospital. Dr. Ndiaye received her DO degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and completed her pediatric residency at University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014. In January 2023, she earned an International Board Certification of Lactation Consultants Certificate. After a year of primary care pediatrics clinic, she has spent the rest of her practice as a Pediatric Hospitalist caring for patients and their families to provide evidence-based, compassionate pediatric care with interest in asthma, bronchiolitis, pediatric sepsis, breastfeeding medicine and health education.
Dr. Ndiaye lives in south loop Chicago with her husband, Rene Pascal, and son, Philip. She is expecting to welcome her second child soon. She enjoys dancing salsa, growing a rooftop vegetable garden, exploring cultures through cooking and cuisine, and traveling to her husband's family home in Senegal. She also enjoys connecting with other women physicians through a book club with graduates from her residency.
Dr. Ndiaye is honored to accept the position of Pediatrics Education Co-Director at Rosalind Franklin University in September 2023. Her prior medical education experience includes resident clinical teaching, invited lectures as a quality improvement leader, physician lactation consultant, and training junior colleagues. She values mentorship and quality education and hopes to continue the excellent work of her predecessors in creating a well-rounded, fulfilling pediatrics rotation for our medical students.
