Dr. Morrison received her MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Chicago. She currently serves as the Executive Vice Dean and Vice Dean for Medical Education at Chicago Medical School. She served as the Internal Medicine Residency Program director from 2009-2013, the Course Director for the Essentials of Clinical Reasoning II course from 2009-2014, the Associate Dean for Medical Education and Innovation from 2014-2015, and the Senior Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Education from 2015-2022. Her academic interests include curriculum design, assessment of clinical performance, and professional development. A fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Morrison is the recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, the Lawrence R. Medoff Award, the James B. Hammond Humanitarian Award, and the Department of Medicine Distinguished Clinical Educator Award.
