Jamil Abdur-Rahman, MD

Dr. Jamil Abdur-Rahman is a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist with 13 years of clinical experience. He is currently practicing at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, Illinois. He received his medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Healthcare Center. 

Dr. Abdur-Rahman is the father of three children (two sons and one daughter). He is an avid traveler, a licensed private pilot and a retired Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves Medical Corp. His claim to fame is that he and his twin brother (also a local obstetrician/gynecologist) were on Season 22 of CBS’ “The Amazing Race.” They’ve also been featured on the television program “The Doctors,” where they discussed cervical incompetence in twin pregnancies. Most recently, Dr. Abdur Rahman and his brother can be found featured in Ancestry.com’s latest TV commercial campaign.
