Rotation activities include:
  • Outpatient clinic ~3 days per week
  • Inpatient consults for general medical floor and MICU patients
  • Bronchoscopy, intubation, thoracic ultrasound, and thoracentesis 
  • Bronchoscopy and mechanical ventilation simulators
  • Comprehensive pulmonary function lab Standard pulmonary function, metabolic cardiopulmonary exercise, exercise induced bronchospasm, and methacholine challenge testing and interpretation
  • Participating in complete patient care by responding to patient phone calls and messages, tracking patient clinical results and pathways and on call responsibilities
  • Conferences as Tumor Board (lung cancer screening program) and presenting pulmonary topics to medical residents and students
  • Leading team of medical residents and students (develops leadership skills)
