CMS Faculty Awards
- CMS Excellence in Clinical Education Award
- This educator demonstrates empathy and respect for students and creates a culture that encourages student expression of ideas. S/he acts as an exemplary role model and exhibits professional values and standards. This individual is an exceptional teacher who stimulates student intellectual achievement through superior communication skills and interpersonal rapport.
Eligibility: All faculty members at Chicago Medical School involved in clinical education

- CMS Excellence in Educational Innovation Award
- This individual demonstrates innovation in teaching and learning approaches, with a focus on significant accomplishment in curriculum and instructional development. Examples of this accomplishment include new or revised courses, programs, teaching tools in written or electronic form, and research in medical education that enhances quality of teaching.
Eligibility: All faculty members at Chicago Medical School or Chicago Medical School Affiliates

- This individual demonstrates innovation in teaching and learning approaches, with a focus on significant accomplishment in curriculum and instructional development. Examples of this accomplishment include new or revised courses, programs, teaching tools in written or electronic form, and research in medical education that enhances quality of teaching.
- CMS Distinguished Faculty Award
- The highest honor that Chicago Medical School (CMS) bestows upon its faculty. It will be awarded to a faculty member who brings honor and prestige to CMS through their outstanding commitment to the School and sustained contribution to teaching, service, research, and/or patient care.

- The highest honor that Chicago Medical School (CMS) bestows upon its faculty. It will be awarded to a faculty member who brings honor and prestige to CMS through their outstanding commitment to the School and sustained contribution to teaching, service, research, and/or patient care.
- CMS Honor Medallion
- This award will be bestowed upon a faculty, staff member, student, or alumnus by Chicago Medical School
(CMS) for novel and/or extraordinary accomplishments that have brought honor and prestige to the School and/or University through the delivery of novel health care methods, health care education, leadership, groundbreaking research, champion of diversity and/or exceptional acts of humanitarianism.

- This award will be bestowed upon a faculty, staff member, student, or alumnus by Chicago Medical School
- CMS Outstanding Faculty Community Service Award
- This individual has served the underserved population at the Chicago Medical School, its surrounding communities, and its clinical affiliates. The award also recognizes the process by which faculty serve as role models for each other, students, and staff.

- This individual has served as an outstanding mentor to other faculty members at the Chicago Medical School and its affiliates. The award recognizes the process by which faculty serve as role models for each other, promoting the professional development of others, and creating a supportive, positive working environment.

The award recognizes the process by which faculty serve as role models for each other, promoting the professional development of others, and creating a supportive, positive working environment.
- CMS Junior Faculty Investigator Award
- This researcher has made substantial contributions to research that promotes a vibrant, collaborative, and interprofessional community.
Eligibility: Junior faculty members at Chicago Medical School or Chicago Medical School Affiliates within 5 years of completing their training (e.g., residency, fellowship, post-doc, etc.)

- CMS Lattimer Award
- This award honors Dr. Agnes Lattimer, a distinguished pediatrician and one of the early Black women graduates of CMS, Class of 1954. Dr. Lattimer was a legend in Chicago, serving as Medical Director of Cook County Hospital from 1986-1995 and leading a fight against child lead poisoning in Chicago.
- This award is given to a senior faculty member of Chicago Medical School who exhibits a long-standing record of outstanding performance in clinical teaching or research, patient care, or public health.

Rosalind Franklin University Awards
- Morris L. Parker Research Award
- Established by Morris L. Parker, M.D., this award is presented for meritorious research in medicine or related health sciences by an investigator at the rank of Associate Professor or higher, or who has already been awarded the BOT Research Award.
- Board of Trustees Research Award
- Presented to a junior faculty member for excellence in research.
- Lawrence Medoff Award
- For outstanding performance in clinical sciences in the area of research, teaching, and/or clinical care.
- Rosalind Franklin Award - Excellence in Teaching
- Established in 2005 and presented to a faculty member to recognize their expertise in fostering student learning.
- Rosalind Franklin Award - Excellence in Service
- Established in 2005 and presented to a faculty member who has made outstanding service contributions to the University.
- Deans' Award for Diversity and Inclusion
- For outstanding contributions to diversity and inclusion.
- Timothy R. Hansen Mentoring Award
- Established in 2017, this award is presented for outstanding contribution in advising, guiding, and coaching University faculty.
