Position Specification
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the President and CEO of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS) plays a critical role in determining and executing the institution’s vision and priorities for the future. Ideal candidates for the President role will possess excellent academic and administrative leadership experience, as well as superb communication and interpersonal skills. The President must be a collaborative leader, committed to the importance of interprofessional education.
The President and CEO of RFUMS must demonstrate a steadfast commitment to academic integrity and actively engage with dedicated faculty, students, staff, and alumni for support. This leader will equally prioritize education, research and community service. A deep understanding of the intricate financial and regulatory challenges confronting RFUMS—such as operational efficiency, clinical placements, the implications of changes in the healthcare environment, and the growing integration of technology—is essential. Furthermore, the leader must possess the skills to navigate these challenges effectively.
