The Steering Committee for Career Enhancement and Development for Postdoctoral Fellows was pleased to present its Fall 2013 Career Development Workshop.

Dr. Joan Lakoski and Dr. Robert Milner, to presented a workshop on grant writing to our postdocs and graduate students. This half-day workshop included discussion on approaches to F, K01 and other K award proposals.



Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM

The Steering Committee for Career Enhancement and Development for Postdoctoral Fellows was pleased to announce first in a series of presentations on Career Development.

We invited one of the creators of the Science Careers' Individual Development Plan (IDP), Dr. Philip S. Clifford, to present a workshop on career development for people with PhDs in the biomedical sciences. Dr. Clifford's two-hour workshop included topics such as self-assessment, goal setting, and striking productive conversations with mentors that will be applicable across a wide variety of career paths in science.

The workshop was open to all postdoctoral trainees and SGPS students.
