The Offices of Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development afford service to University faculty from all five of its schools and colleges by providing policy development, implementation, oversight and good will through the University Senate, Master Teacher Guild and other faculty groups.  Faculty Affairs oversees awards, recognition, and appreciation of RFUMS faculty, and contributes to the recruitment and retention of a faculty community of diversity and excellence.  The office manages processes for appointments and promotions, retention of faculty records, and mentoring of faculty.  The Office of Faculty Development provides opportunities for faculty skill development in learning, scholarship, and service through workshops, seminars, web-based tools, and new faculty orientation.  These offices foster a sense of faculty community through interprofessional collaboration and networking.
