Wendy RheaultWendy Rheault, PT, PhD is Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the College of Health Professions and Professor of Physical Therapy at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Rheault received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario Canada in 1978. In 1981 she received the MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Chicago. In 1989, she was subsequently awarded a PhD in Measurement, Evaluation and Statistical Analysis, also from the University of Chicago.

 Accepting the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs in July 2008 while continuing as Dean of the College of Health Professions, Dr. Rheault's Vice President leadership responsibilities encompass the Division of Student Affairs, Learning Resources, Enrollment Services, Educational Affairs, and the Education and Evaluation Center. The mission of the Office of Academic Affairs is to provide the processes and support systems at the University level that will enhance and facilitate student learning and development and allow students to succeed in a collegial and dynamic academic environment from the admissions process to graduation and beyond. In her capacity as Vice President, Dr. Rheault is also an ad hoc member of the Academic Committee of the Board.

Dr. Rheault has been on the faculty of Rosalind Franklin University for over 27 years.  She was the Chair of the Physical Therapy Department for 10 years (1983-1993) and developed nationally respected programs in that department. She served as Associate Dean of the College from 1993 to 2003. In that role, she was instrumental in the development of the innovative Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Dr. Rheault was appointed Dean of the College of Health Professions in 2003. The number of students and programs in the College of Health Professions has grown substantially under her leadership. Dr. Rheault leads the Interprofessional Education Strategy for the University. A required interprofessional educational experience, utilizing small group instruction, was developed in 2004 for all first year healthcare professional students in the University. This educational innovation has been presented at a number of meetings, and in 2005, received a national award from the Physician Assistant Foundation for Innovations in Healthcare Education.

Dr. Rheault is extensively published and has presented at national and international meetings. Her area of research expertise is the psychometric analysis of both clinical and educational measurement instruments using Rasch Analysis.  The Journal of Physical Therapy Education, the only peer-reviewed journal in the field, is housed at the University and Dr. Rheault serves as Associate Editor. In 2006, Dr. Rheault was inducted as a Fellow in the Institute of Medicine of Chicago.
